Cape Wickham is an 18-hole, par-72 championship links measuring 6,150 metres, designed to embrace the natural contours, coastal winds and dramatic scenery of King Island.
Nine holes interact directly with the coastline, with the routing continually changing direction to ensure the ever-present Bass Strait winds influence play in different ways throughout the round. Wide fairways provide generous landing areas, but finding the correct position is important for creating favourable angles into the greens. Strategic bunkering, natural undulations and expansive chipping swales offer golfers multiple ways to approach and recover around the putting surfaces.
The coastal holes provide many of Cape Wickham’s defining moments. Its par-3s at the 3rd, 11th and 17th showcase the spectacular setting, while the closing stretch brings golfers back alongside the rugged western shoreline.
